Pajarito Clay Works

Hello! I’m Karen Edmondson, the artist behind Pajarito Clay Works. I live and work in the historical neighborhood of Pajarito, in Albuquerque’s rural South Valley. I first trained as a painter, but the qualities of clay ultimately led me to a full time ceramics practice.

For the last decade I’ve been selling my clay designs in both functional and non-functional pieces. I love playfully illustrative motifs, as well as the serenely minimalistic—simple white clouds. I continue to explore the potential of ceramic art, to find new ways of expressing my ever-changing vision.
